Day 2 highlights:

Blitzen Trapper: A hell of a lot of fun checking these guys out. Sounded good live, and the crowd were very receptive.

Henry Rollins (spoken word): My first time seeing Henry do a spoken word set, and he was hilarious. His rant on touring around Asia was some comedy. He seemed a bit rushed though, like he wanted to get off stage to go catch another band.

Fleet Foxes: We were blown away by them. Opening with just their voices, right when the sun was setting....it was seriously magical. The entire crowd was focused and vibin'...you could feel it. They played great even with minor sound issues.

Band Of Horses: The perfect follow up to Fleet Foxes, and one of my favorite sets of the festival. Each time I catch them they sound better and better. They played 2 new songs that are more upbeat and have me really looking forward to the new album later this year.

MIA: Only caught 2 songs after leaving Band Of Horses, but she had the main stage BLOWING UP. She invited a shitload of people to come up on stage and dance.

Mastodon:
We were super stoked after being hooked up with VIP for their set giving us access to the side stage(thanks Roy & Seth!). They were filming Mastodon's set for a vid/film, and the front was loaded with photographers. The crowd filled the entire tent and were going mental, and they played their entire new album front to back. Incredible experience!

I can't even keep shoes on our youngest, let alone head gear.

Sébastian kept them on almost the entire festival. If we were walking around far from a stage we would take them off for a bit, but overall he didn't complain.

He was even able to sleep through My Bloody Valentine who were fucking LOUD.
