LSU and Texas with the inside track to the final. It will be interesting to see how many Husker fans living in Omaha will pull for Texas in the final if this is indeed the final two. My money says people come out in droves to support the Bayou Bengals instead of the Longhorns. From my past CWS experience, it has always been Geaux Tigers, even if it was Tulane playing there. The Louisiana contingency seem to be well liked people around here.

There is a weird love affair between Baton Rouge and Omaha during the CWS.

Me and huskerpunk were watching the late and extra innings of that Arkansas-Virginia game tonight, and that double play to end the 9th may be the best I've ever seen at any level.

I'm glad for Dave Van Horn, but part of me thinks it is a little bizarre he could never his national top eight seed Husker teams to do this. I'm sure coaching your alma mater is that much more important to you.

Yes, Husker fans love the LSU baseball fans (my dad included).

Yes, it was... although the game really should have ended in the bottom of the ninth... Kuechel's 4th pitch on the 3-0 count was a ball (which would have walked in the winning run). Instead, he gets the generous call, and they turn the unbelievable double play on the very next pitch.

As a Hog fan, I'll take it... but if I was a Cavs fan, I'd be really pissed.

LSU is whooping Arkansas 11-2, they had a 9-0 lead at one point.
The Tigers will get the weekend off now.
I don't know if ASU has any gas left in the tank after last night to take tonight's game against Tejas.

Texas wins 4-3 on two solo home runs in the bottom of the 9th. Starting Monday it will be a three game series between LSU and Texas. Geaux Tigers!

LSU steals game one 7-6. The Bayou Bengals were trailing most of the game.

I dare you to find a better MLB game all year.

Sadly, I don't own a husker baseball shirt. I do still have my fitted cap from the first CWS they made. Was this guy panhandling or holding a will work for food sign?

Texas dominated tonight 5-1, so it comes down to sudden death in game three.

Quite a touching scene with the Manieri family in the final inning and post-game. Class move putting the bench guys in in the ninth. Coleman was absolute nails as expected, even though the breathing room was there. Bring on football season, now.
