This Administration Continues To Make Allies of European Countries...First France and Germany, now Greece. This is a joke. To reward the Former Yugoslav Republic for their help in Iraq in Greece's expense is a joke.

I care. And the millions of Greek-Americans who live in this country. Don't be such a jerk.

But think of how much easier it would be to say "give me 9 inches of Macedonian cock to suck on all day long" than "give me 9 inches of Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonian cock to suck on all day long."

I'm just fucking with you Chris. But doesn't it seem kind of childish of Greece to try to deny them the name? The US state of Georgia doesn't get all pissed at the former USSR nation.

No, I see where Chris is coming from. I know why he's pissed.

I once worked with a girl who was born and raised in Macedonia, if you were to refer to her as Greek she would flip out horribly. She then had to explain to us the longstanding fighting going on between Greece and Macedonia.

And seeing as that my best friend is married to a Greek who was born and raised there, and so is my sister- this is actually something of a topic of conversation in my world last couple days.

Greeks are some of the proudest people I've ever met in my life. Anything to do with their heritage and their government is huge. And well, from what I understand, they don't care for Macedonia in the least. And I have no idea where I'm going with the rest of this...stupid hangover.

I like how everything people don't like about the US is now called "Unilateral." How the UNITED STATES refers to any other country is necessarily a unilateral decision.

It has to do more with the location. The Greek government is concerned that the FYROM will attempt to invade part of the Greek Macedonia. It's another Muslim-Christian issue unfortunately as half of FYROM is Muslim and unfortunately Greece, a Christian nation, feels umconfortable surrounded by two muslim countries, the other being Turkey. It's the same situation as the Isreali-Palestinian issue, yet the US fully supports Isreal. I'm pissed because once again the US rewarded the FYROM only because they are an "ally" in the "war against terrorism" and Greece is not. That's what I'm pissed about.

well if Greece had just been a little more co-operative, maybe FYROM would still be FYROM instead of ROM. HMM?

Not that I support our war for oil, oops, i mean, on terrorism.

Maybe greece should just rename Greek Macedonia to Baklavaland. That'd be cool.
