I'm watching the original right now, has anyone seen the Redux version?

I bought this a while back on DVD. Watched it once and now it sits gathering dust. There's an extended scene where they stop at a French plantation. Pretty boring. There's also an extension to the scene where Kilgore takes them surfing.

Good to watch if you're a fan of the original and you have four hours to kill.

It's worth buying.
All the extra scenes are good with the exception of one.

How did you forget about the fuel for Bunnies trade? There's also more Kurtz isn't there? God I fucking love this film

"Who's the commanding officer here?"

"Ain't you?"

I just got to the best lines in the movie.

"Are you an assassin?"

"I'm a soldier."

"You're neither.... You're an errand boy...sent by grocery clerks....to collect a bill."

I just love that quote I typed because I love the whole Do Lung Bridge seqeunce. There's a part when Lance (the surfer) & Willard are walking thru trying to find the CO, Lance of course is tripping on acid & carrying the puppy. As they enter total darkness the sky lights up either from an explosion or flare & it goes to just being light enough to see like 3 black soldiers sitting there listening to acid rock- justfuckingtotallygone. You just know from those few seconds you see them that even if they do survive they will never live in reality again. justfuckingtotallygone. No CO, the bridge is changing hands daily, no supplies, or renforcements & they're frying listening to acid rock. God I fucking love this film

It just finished and I forgot how much I love it too. The visuals are amazing, that scene you're describing is just classic.

Now I'm watching another I hadn't seen for awhile. The Shining.

Great film. I just wish it ended before Marlon Brando appears..

I love this movie, too. And I love the "Heart of Darkness" making of documentary almost as much.
