Thinking of staying at http://www.acehotel.com/newyork its in Midtown and I have read it is in a sketchy area, but one man's sketch is another man's retreat, NYC tell me what you think of NOMAD area? I am coming Oct 27-nov2 so maybe a drink someplace with the NYC people is in order?

i stayed here recently, the pod hotel. it was kinda smallish but fun too and pretty cheap.

I have heard of Ace. I am bad with NYC hotels.
Honestly, I think the new Standard has some pretty great deals. I have stayed there in LA and it's awesome.
