Even I don't know all of these, and I quite pride myself on having a good vocab.

I have a theory that you can fake knowing about art, if you can properly use the word juxtapose, or more to the point juxtaposition.

Case in point: The thing that strikes me about this piece is the juxtaposition between light and dark.

I actually said this, with nodding approval, at one of my friend's art shows in school

After dodging a serendipitous defenestration of a plethora of kitchen utensils on my way to the gym (I'm persnickety about remaining callipygian), I felt a bit discombobulated by the juxtoposition of the onomatopoetic "dings" and "boings" with the softly falling snow (not to mention the kerfuffle the defenestrator continued to raise) and, flibbertigigget that I am, I ran smack into the spinster from next door.

The attempt to juxtapose a plethora of Christian and Muslim Macedonians caused social discombobulation--a kerfuffle, if you will--leading the persnickety Greek to act the flibbertigibbet and attempt the defenestration of the callipygian moderator onto the sidewalk with an audible "splat," which, by pure serendipity, is a fine example of onomatopoeia, I must say.

I wrote a song once called defenestration. The rhyming word was miscegenation. Boy, that was a stupid song.

Back in the late '80s there was a hardcore band that called themselves Defenestration because they thought the word was so impressive. I guess they never took high school French.

FWIW - all of those words, with the exception of persnickety and flibbertigibbet, are part of my day-to-day vocabulary. A high level of literacy, after all, is what makes a dude like me such an insufferable prick.

Onomatopaeia is a weird word: it sounds nothing like itself, nor what it means: biff, thwap, ungh ...

“In a way, all of us have an El Guapo to face someday. For some, shyness might be their El Guapo. For others, a lack of education might be their El Guapo. For us, El Guapo is a big dangerous guy who wants to kill us. But as sure as my name is Lucky Day, the people of Santa Poco... can conquer their own personal El Guapo... who also happens to be the actual El Guapo...”

Yeah, I hate to take the easy way out, but the best part of EuroHis is the defenestration of Prague.
