I haven't heard a lot of their stuff. Only a few tracks off of Inches. To be honest, nothing really grabbed me except for 'The Sweat Descends'. However I've read many many great reviews of their live show. It's tonight, (in 5 hrs) and it'd cost only $13, but I might have to go it alone.

What's your vote. Get 'em in quick please.

Shee-it, Craig-O, I didn't know they were playing tonight. And wouldn't ya know, I've already got two prior engagements this eve (still trying to decide which one I'm gonna weasel out of). What venue are they playing?

Edit: I vote you go, unless you wanna save your $13 for Ted Leo tomorrow night at the Red Room.

Yes, you'll love it. Unless you don't.

dicks on dicks. So that's a plus in my books.

last time they came through on new years day-night (jan1) and it went off. I think i read that he sang a song upside from the balcony while being held by the ankles by two fans.

i've never been impressed with les savy fav's records, but that's probably because they slay live. seriously, they're very good and entertaining. you'll be talking about tim harrington's antics for awhile. unless they're having an off-night, but i've not yet heard of an off-night for them.

I asked this in your zed thread, radcliffe, but I'll do it again. what's the red room like. Have you been?

I think if it came down to it, I'd drop the 13 on LSF, but I do wanna know about the Red Room aka the Drink aka sumthin else before that.

Les Savy Fav is one of the better live shows I've seen.

Definitely go.

Aw jeez, now I don't know in which thread I should answer the question. What's the proper bb etiquette?

I haven't been to that venue since they started calling it the Red Room, so I don't know if they've changed anything around. But when it was still called The Drink it was a pretty good venue to see a band - small, intimate room, and the sound was crystal clear. Downsides were the low ceiling, pillars obstructing the sight lines, and the placement of the bar in the middle of the club (though nowhere near as annoyingly positioned as the bar at the Brickyard). Oh, and the history of Asian gang shootings made me a little uneasy, but I don't think Ted Leo has a large Asian gang following.
