I'm playing Harper's Ferry in Allston on Nov. 11th, and Tribeca in NYC on Nov. 12th.

Do you think any of you might be coming out, or even nearby just to say hey?

Also, recommendations on good cheap places to eat would be appreciated. Like if there's a killer deli, or gyro joint, or whatever.

-Phil

Cool, Phil. I'm going to be in NYC on the 12th---I'll try to get to your show. Where, exactly, will you be playing? I'm only vaguely familiar with the city.

wow, who booked you at harper's? that venue really isn't too friendly to my scene (for whatever reasons), but everyone usually has nice things to say about it. harper's is located in the middle of allston, so you'll have a bevy of eating options, ranging from vegan oriental to irish pub food to "killer hot dogs" to plain old fast food. if i can, i'll try to make it...allston's kinda far for me right now, as i don't have a car, but we'll see.

Dov, thanks for the tip about the mexican food. Kev, i don't mind guest listing you or the other Boston boarders. Doubt I'll be able to pick you up, 7 guys and all their gear in a 15 passenger gets crowded.

Same goes for NYers, want a guest list spot, hit me up, first come first served.

Definitely hip me to the vegan oriental, our rapper would totally dig on that. So would the guitarist, and so would i.

Keep the food tips coming, let me know if you want guest list spots.

it's called "Grasshopper" and is right up the street from Harper's next to a bar called "the Model."

here's a link to one of the local weekly papers about Grasshopper: http://www.bostonphoenix.com/listings%5 ... HOPPER.asp

I don't think I'll be in town for this.

Yeah Harper's Ferry looks nice and all but they play mostly jam bands/dmb stuff between sets, i think. yick.

There's a good vietnamese restaurant down the street from HF called Pho Pasteur. The Common Ground has some decent american food. Both of those are in like a minute or 2 walking distance.

I'll try to make it too but I'm on CMJ bands overload here with the Benny Girl show on Nov. 6 (which I may bypass for your show) and PolePosition on Nov. 11 so we shall see. The good thing is the club is a couple of blocks away from my school so it works out perfectly. I get out of school at 8 and could walk to the club afterwards.

So Matt +1, Aaron +?, Opa +?, for Tribeca?

Anyone else for Tribeca, or Harper's Ferry?

Put me down for the NYC show, Phil. I can't guarantee that I'll be there, but I'm planning on it.

Grasshopper is awesome. I used to live right there and went there all the time. I need to go there again soon. Veggies and non will love it.

I'd love to go to your show but my parents are coming in fromm Hawaii that day- I haven't seen my dad in almost a year so I'll be quite busy!

I think Stacey said she was coming down for the show. As I said last month, I may show up, depending on if my app that's due the next day is done.

EDIT: KPH - convince Velouria to go and drive you. I'd offer, but you are WAAAAY out of the way for me to go to Harper's.

aww shucks, I would love to but I find them to be generally irritable and not willing to do anything after a 14 hour (plus layovers) trans-(half the)pacific, trans-continental flight :)

Hey, Phil... Would it be too much to ask to put me on the list as well? I don't think I need a +1.

Thanks,

Stu Walker.

Hey Phil, can you give me a +2 for tomorrow? Or should I make my co-workers pay?
