Does anyone have any information on this band or know what they sound like? They just released an album on 3/22. I have been trying to hear sound clips but both amazon.com and circuitcity.com don't seem to be working.

they're from san diego. their last album was a terribly bloated double disc effort that had some moments of promise. what do you want to know?

Well some RIYL's and such. Some sort of idea of what they sound like musically and lyrically.

i think that the easiest comparisson is the flaming lips. this song is probably my favorite of theirs that i've heard, but i've not heard the new one.

I like them. On Vacation was hilarious, and the shit they sent me in their package was funny too. I think their lyrics are funny and cynical and stuff. You can't really RIYL...a lil' flaming lips, but with a more lo-fi, almost carnival or cabaret feel.

that one came together pretty well. i don't know when i'll ever have time to do another one like that, however. i hope that i do.
