Apparently some guy is making a biopic about Blink-182. Gotta respect his moxie, and that's he's completely devoid of an actual consent form.

It all started with a young man getting expelled from school.
Well, the story of 90's pop punk comedians, Blink-182 does. Little known filmmaker Brandon Flores is ready to re-open the door to what was one of my favorite bands when I was 13.
After seeing LORDS OF DOGTOWN, Flores was inspired to write a movie about the original trio which included: Tom DeLonge, Mark Hoppus, and Scott Raynor. Flores talks about his Blink love, "I saw that movie and I thought, 'The guys in Blink deserve a movie like that about them'. They have an awesome life, and they're one of my favorite bands. So the idea got in my head, and over the summer — right around the time of the Blink reunion tour — my friends and I started writing a script about their early days." The movie is entitled, you guessed it, BLINK, and covers the early years before drummer Travis Barker came into our lives with his mohawk and Cadillac emblem tattoos. It will involve the beginnings of the band, their struggles, hijinks, and how they quickly gained a fanbase. The film ends with Scott Reynor's exit from the band, and Hoppus meeting Barker who was then playing for The Aquabats.
The biggest part is the band have not given their consent to this, even though Flores is going ahead with it. The director has been trying to contact them and their management to no avail, "We've been trying to get in touch with their management, or even the guys in Blink, because we'd like to use their songs in the movie. "Or maybe we could even get the guys to do a cameo in the film." Flores has been casting via Craigslist and when a link was posted on absolutepunk.net, the news spread like wildfire.
MTV contacted Mark Hoppus about the film, who apparently had no clue, "No, I didn't know anything about the movie. I wonder how it pays? Should I try out for the part of Tom?" Obviously, the band is still sort of around and it's rather funny that someone would want to make a movie about them. While it might be interesting, it makes me feel old that someone already wants to make a movie about it. Well, I guess this is growing up.
