I was in a used clothing store once and this girl was clearing the mens racks, literally buying everything in site. I inquired and she told me she was a personal shopper for Weezer and that they really liked to "look indie" but that it simply too difficult and took too much of their time to cultivate "the look" themselves, so they were paying her to do it for them.

er, no. we're just sick of all the bitching that ppl who don't even live / spend any time here give us. based on preconceived notions..and personally i'm just tired of the "its cool to diss LA" mentality which partially originates from LA's default non-indieness (it is the center of wealth / fame / ppl who sell out (l'industry de film):)
if any ppl are insecure about their city's status, it is san franciscans and chicagoans (the "former" second city) !! we already know ya'll hate us since we're the shit, and everything opens here and in NY before it reaches you...
