just listened to 1,000 kisses for the first time in a while today and i'm rather sad i've never listened to her other stuff. any other fans? what would you recommend i do/buy next?

I really liked Flaming Red. The album tried a lot of different things - namely she rocked out on a couple of tracks.

I think her 1st album is damned amazing. Living With Ghosts. It's essentially a punched-up acoustic demo.

On a semi-related note, I'm listening to the new Aimee Mann, and my first impression is that it's totally boring and bland, with Sheryl Crow-like backing. I hope I'm wrong about this.

aimee's newest is a little boring but that's because it's a 'concept' album. if you can listen without falling asleep, you win a cookie and you 'get' what the concept is.

i recommend Flaming Red as well
