Yeah, forgot the other day to say thanks for posting this. I forwarded this story around to a few friends who were uniform in their appreciation for it. Shame it's taken Ebert being nearly dead for people (myself included) to wake up to what a flat-out good journalist he is.

I may not always agree with his reviews, Ebert is almost always interesting.

He did win a Pulitzer some years back. But, yeah, for the most part I agree with this statement.

I find it interesting that he actually worked on movies and wrote them. Up until recently I had always just assumed that he had always only been a critic.
