lord, the footage they just showed on the news of the CU campus "smoke out" almost make me want to turn in my medical marijuana card.

but sometimes you just need your medicine.

I know what you mean. If there is one thing I hate it's a pot head, and this is coming from someone who only a year or so ago was high every day. I think Bob Marley is just alright, I hate dreds on white people, I hate 95% of jam music, I think that wearing anything with a pot leaf on it makes you look retarded, etc. I never understood weed as a lifestyle, you don't see crack heads wanting their own day.

i come from the camp where marijuana use isn't really the gateway drug to dreads/jam music/hemp necklaces etc.
i do think that this is a corny holiday.
but beer people get tons of days.

im not celebrating. because im working.
but i do love everybody.

With a front and back yard like yours to mow, I think the answer is clear.

Just add headphones.

Didn't think of that. I've got the riding mower and the headphones part taken care of.

*highfive*

I think the main reason that I dislike this holiday is because freshman year of college my room mate woke me up at 4:20am to get high.

there is plenty we could celebrate about marijuana and its uses, but unfortunately none of it has anything to do with this 'holiday'. and really i've never used it for medicine – though i've supplied it as medicine, and it was a lovely moment i'll remember – or made anything but beaded anklets out of hemp, so while i'm not smoking today and very recently due to long-running indulgence in it, i will say this: i love when it smells like grapefruit, and looks like diamonds; i love it when i'm hungover; i adore it when i'm driving; i roll it when you're driving (and admittedly while i'm driving); i hate how inexpensive it is, but i love that i'm as at ease smoking it on the streets of montreal as i am smoking it in my parents' home, or car, as it were. i love it when i ski, and i've played my best tennis lit to the tall treetops...

so, all together now, three really unemphatic cheers for ganja.
