Weekend Thread (The return)

Today: Had a Team Retreat today for team building etc. etc. Did one of those personality tests regarding cognitive style and how I deal with "change". Not only did I score as a Conservative, I was the highest in the office and even the test administrator seemed slightly alarmed with my score. People are now eying me suspiciously. Time for wine.

Sat/Sun: Got to pack up for a conference in Jasper, staying at a really nice place, and it's all about "making connections to improve health research". Activities include mountain hikes and scotch tasting.

If you had asked me a day or two ago, tonight I'd be at The Den drinking my dog's weight in liquor. Instead, I am working. Sooo....

FRIDAY:
. Work -- prepare for three day trip to Sacramento to conduct employee orientations.
. If I get done before midnight, possibly meet a friend down the street for libations.

SATURDAY:
. I drove into a six inch pot hole a couple of months which completely wiped out one of my front tires...rim and all. The donut is going back to his resting spot in the trunk, meanwhile, two new tires will sport the spare car.
. Arrange dogsitting with the neighbours
. Sneak in a nap
. Finish PowerPoint presentations for damn ee orientation. No, wait, I can't. It's the sabbath and the Orthodox woman can't give her blessing until Sunday. Oh well...

SUNDAY:
. Pack for three day trip -- "do I have clean chonies" is the real question.
. Sleep, launder, read
. Finish presentations, send last minute email to the rest of my team who will be conducting orientations in Hayward.
. Yippee kai yay

MONDAY:
. Sleep in
. Hop on flight to Sacramento

Wasn't I supposed to be invited or have a BBQ somewhere in between?

friday night
- go out for 10th anniversary and drink 3/4 bottle of wine
- pass out exhausted with a good buzz

saturday
- stay up half the night with new baby
- get up for good around 6 with the baby and the toddler
- make coffee and drink as much as possible to keep me alive
- fuck around all day

sunday
- my day to sleep in, take advantage of that
- maybe go to zoo if the weather cooperates
