Am I missing something? I dug Boxer a lot and liked Alligator, but this week I've listened to High Violet probably 7 times back-to-back driving around town and nothing all that compelling has come to the surface.

At first I declared it their best yet but it's worn off much quicker for me than the others did. I still like it a lot but I'm not so sure it's my favorite of theirs anymore. I still think Bloodbuzz Ohio is one of their best songs yet and enjoy Runaway and a couple others, though.

I thought I was going to actually like this one after my first listen, but it's been all downhill from there.

i listened to it again today and i have to kinda agree. i do like it, but i think with alligator -> boxer -> and now high violet, they are kinda treading water. but this is also coming from someone who thinks sad songs for dirty lovers is their best work, so...
