I was cleaning a batch of records a while ago (back-logged about 200 now), and pulling out a nice copy of Goat's Head Soup (never bought it or owned it before), found this inside, unmarked... GAR, you want for framing, or is it a common insert that everyone owns?

I think it's standard--mine has it.

If it's LP sized, I'd love to add it to my collection. I've got that Exile piece and a few other things, so this would be pretty cool.

I'll PM you a Post Office Box so you don't have my physical address and come murder me.

Do P.O. boxes take pipe bombs? (And yes, it's LP sized.)

PM'd you my office address. It will only blow up an empty-ish reception area. Thanks, dude.

Yeah, mine has the same horrifying photos on the sleeve.

The poster really is quite cool, now that I actually look at it. Gar, you're gonna lurve this and have it framed immediately. Hell, I might do the same.

Haha, I'm thinking about him going to the framing place in 'Bama asking for this to be framed. Somehow I feel like this could turn into a Christine O'Donnell state of affairs down the road.

Like my tailor, who makes office calls, I have a custom framing guy who is a Springsteen and general rock and roll nut. I send him stuff from the 2010 thread, and Dead stuff, etc. He understands the need for discretion.

I've always found that insert (and the entire Goat's Head Soup album design) to be thematically lazy and uninspired, especially considering all the crazy shit that was going on in album design at the time. I mean, imagine the art department's discussion for that - "The album's called Goat's Head Soup and this is a goat's head... in soup! Get it?"

Be patient on this one- been tied up (not literally, at least not this time) helping my lady move for about 2 forevers, and have to go to Connecticut on Monday for most of the week. I should have some time to get it out in the mail toward the end of next week, as long as I can figure out how to keep the Ottis Toole- inspired bonus item from stanking up the box. It keeps on giving, don't you know.

The package from Senor Megas made it this afternoon. Wrapped in a Statler Sisters album or some such nonsense.

And this will no doubt make a really cool piece - but I also received a picture of Dooley being carried off the field after the 1980 Sugar Bowl - autographed. I'm really going to have a bizarro UGA shrine when I get all this stuff done and on the walls.

Senor Wences, but y'all wouldn't remember him anyway. And it was a Skeeter Davis album. Pay no attention to the white powder, it ain't blow.
