I think 2010 was the best year for new music in at least 3 years... but maybe I just listened to more this year than the last few. What do you folks think?

this year was very good

it was good. i don't get people who complain about "oh this year sucked for music". there's great music out there, you just have to find it.

just not as many compelling albums for me as compared to previous years

i was thinking the same thing as 2010 closed -- best year for music since 2007.

beat the shit outta 2009...but for the first time I felt a little outta the loop with a lot of records.

i feel like i've only scratched the surface on 2010 and i liked what i heard

it's been really fun making sense of the Odd Future crew.

I felt it was a good year, although I feel like I had an easier time than usual choosing my top 10, which means it might have not have been so great. Few really stellar records but alot of good ones.

Same here. I never listened less but I felt like I was missing out.

I found plenty I liked this year but not as much that I loved as many years. I admittedly didn't look as hard though as I have a lot of years.

People who say a year of music sucked either didn't listen to enough or were disappointed by their favorite artist's releases.

I didn't listen to enough.

I thought it was pretty great. Best since 2006, maybe even 2002. I dunno, that's really hard to determine.

I listened to a ton of stuff this year. It seemed a billion bands a minute at one point and then I just had to step back. Frankly, some of my favorites were found just by obners based on rec's being a filter due to over consumption. And, at the end like every year there are as many tracks that just kick ass and even those artist do not necessarily make the top 20.

Stellar year for music.

I've learned that I can't say that finally now, since I've discovered a lot of great stuff from 2008 and 2009 in 2010.

can't say I listened to any albums this year I really loved or would make any best of decade list. liked a lot, though.
