i saw their "classic lineup" reunion in chicago a couple months ago and it was fantastic

yeah this is what its supposed to be, pollard/sprout/mitchell/demos/fennel, i guess its one of the last shows??

yeah it was awesome. the setlist was just bananas, all the hits. i think mitch mitchell has been announcing his yearning to "eat some pussy" in just about every city

They did a few years ago but they recently reformed. They played LA in the fall. I've always enjoyed the spectacle of their shows even though I'm not a big fan of their albums. I would have gone if they were playing a club but they were playing at the Wiltern a 2000 capacity venue. Don't like 'em enough to see them there.

well they drew fewer people than i thought they would in Nashville, although it was a ridiculous crowd. Mid-20s males doing bro-hugs and pointing at the band as they yelled EVERY SINGLE LYRICE TO EVERY OBSCURE GBV SONG. it was amazing. Really it was like Beatlemania in a way. Dont get me wrong, I was psyched and it was a great show but the crowd was hilarious.

didnt realize how hard they live...pollard drank about a third of a bottle of Jose Cuervo and 5-7 beers, smoked 2 packs of cigaraettes, etc. had always heard but still funny to see after years of seeing stoic indie bands.

great show though.
