While both Crack and Bloor are correct here, Beatty is way more famous for being an actor

Shirley is better known for being chicken booking crazy, and most people don't even know she was getting prodded from all ends by The Rat Back back in the day.

But from about Bonnie and Clyde to Reds, Warren rivaled Nicholson in terms of being everyone's direst choice for a serious role.

Gotta go with Beatty. Although, I looked at their filmography and Maclaine has been WAY more active over the course of her career.

Still, Bonnie and Clyde is just one of those touchstone films that can imprint someone onto a collective culture. Not to mention Reds.

I think he also was constant tabloid fodder for all the starlets that he was fuhing. He's put out some gigantic turds over the last 25 years though. Bulworth notwithstanding. Also, I never saw Bugsy.
