Actually, you have pretty fucking illegible handwriting but it at least looks good. (which counts for a lot, ya know?)

I wrote four pages of notes today. In cursive.

Other than signing my name, I haven't written in cursive since Jr. High School (middle school to most of you). Even I can't read my writing.

In 4-6 weeks, they will send you a bill. You can either pay it then, or wait again. Then they will send you another bill, and eventually they will bug you to pay or get a payment plan. I'm pretty sure as long as you don't owe Snipes/Willie money, and it's just for the current year, and you aren't already on a plan, they will take whatever you offer, and you can pretty much set your payment amount. Make it something super manageable, and just pay extra when you can. This is the IRS, not a credit card at 29% APR. The interest is negligible.

The link below has info. It says a $105 one-time fee, which is a big chunk for $400, but I don't remember paying that*. You can only have one payment plan at a time, but other than that, it's super simple. I fouled up on my withholding a few years ago on a contract, and I set my payments low ($100 maybe?) and just doubled them up as often as I could.
IRS LINK. FAQ on payment plans

*EDIT: I re-read the link. It used to be $43, but now it is $105 unless you do direct debit, in which case it is $52.

Thanks, TCB. This is very, very, very good to know!

Yeah, if you can't solve this problem for the both of us in the next 3-5 years I might just go fucking postal.

I can't believe you don't go 'Nique on more motherfuckers considering the circles you run in.

I thought I was getting paid under the table one year (in fact, was told that by the owner of the siding and pressure washing company I worked with that summer). Turns out, he got audited and got in huge trouble and then had to "report me" but reported me as 1099 so I ended up owing like 750 bucks from 5 years prior (this was back in '05 that I got hit up by the IRS). I paid them 100 bucks right away and then set up like a 20 dollar per month payment plan. haha It was at like 1.25% interest, my overdue balance. No biggie.

I had a friend that got screwed over this way too. I'd bet most non-union construction sites are full of guys who are supposed 1099s who never pay taxes... The entire tax system is so fucked up. GE made like 8 billion in profit last year, but didn't pay a dime in tax.

But check out the two candidates Deschane beat out to get the position as head of environmental and regulatory affairs in the state Department of Commerce:

The first, Oscar Herrera, is a former state cabinet secretary under Republican Gov. Scott McCallum with a doctoral degree and eight years' experience overseeing the cleanup of petroleum-contaminated sites.

The second, Bernice Mattsson, is a professional engineer who served since 2003 in the post to which Deschane was appointed.

By contrast, Deschane has no college degree, little management experience and a couple of drunken-driving convictions. His father represents a trade group that gave more than $121,000 to Walker and his running mate.

Herrera and Mattsson didn't get far in the process.

"Neither candidate was interviewed," said agency spokesman Tony Hozeny.

I wrote four pages of notes today. In cursive.

Writing in cursive should be one of the great boons and pleasures of civilized life.

I hate cursive, so pointless. I only use it for my signature, which has turned into squiggly lines that don't even try to be letters.

I write in a hybrid script that basically uses linked printed words. And to Bloor's point, I coud barely read a not I write someone the other day, but it did look great - perception is reality, hoes.

It's actually the iPad that causes the most spelling problems. The keyboard is Teh Sux0rZ!

And like I said above, I actually need a secretary/exec assistant, but don't want to pay one, so I just work about 26 hours most days.
