Just listened to that Gentleman Jesse album from a couple of years back, and damn, it's still great.

That mofo needs to get with the program and crank out some new stuff.

Anybody in the know heard anything?

Was about to post that cats. They also put out a limited edition run of Singles/Rarities on cassette only last year.

But yeah, make with the new album already. Way to strike while the iron is cold.

That S/T was my #1 of that year (2008?)

i have that cassette and the 7". no way to rip them though. he did another live 7" recorded at the earl, i believe.

also, i talked to him last time he played here, which was in sept. and he said they'd probably be putting a new album out in the summer, i think.

I know one of the guys from his band moved.

I see Jesse around all the time and he admits to being a bit slow in the studio. there should be a single soon and an album before summertime

GJ is an artist I've avoided solely because of his name. But this is somehow at least the third thing I've read about him today, so maybe it's time.

i avoided him at first because of his album cover, but then i saw him live and, well, i fixed my stance.

Yeah, saw these guys open for King Khan live and they put on a pretty good show. I like the album OK, but they're a bit to the generic side for me, good and really solid just nothing special that really grabs me.
