I was going to put some on my Christmas list, but the only one I am familiar with / heard is the Jawbone Jambox one that is $200. I'm afraid if I put something that expensive on my list, that I won't get anything. Maybe it's for the best if that is the one that is best. Has anyone tried any of the cheaper ones?

(I'm going to be using it with my phone, if that wasn't obvious or if it makes a difference.)

I don't use Bluetooth speakers, but I do have a Bluetooth receiver plugged into my stereo. Works quite well. Just plug it into your receiver like any other component and no need to get Bluetooth specific speakers. Just an idea.

What kind is it? Do you have distance issues or problems with interference?

Can't recall which kind it is off hand. Distance can be an issue, depending how you want to use it. I can reach it from anywhere inside at my place, but I have a small place. I've heard other people say they have trouble with the distance. I'd say within about 30 feet or so you're fine. I've never had interference problems.

i use a jambox at work and really like it

The Jambox is the only one I've tried (at an AT+T kiosk), but the price is scaring me away.
