I originally overlooked that Joy Formidable, even though I heard good things. Grabbed it yesterday and have to admit, it seems worth the hype on limited plays.

Smith Westerns and War on Drugs would be on mine. I liked a few songs from that Jessica Lea but ended up selling it back.

Love that Papercuts, not my fave of theirs, but I dig just about everything they've done. Pains was solid. I go back to it but love the first one more. I heard some of that Civil Wars, but it never dug in. I will try that again.

Yay Decemberists!!! Was hoping for more from Anna Calvi after the "Jezebel" single, but it held up pretty well.

Yeah that Decemberists album was good. in my top 30, let's say. I listened to it a lot in January. I was making a best-of-the-Decemberists mix and I wanted to squeeze on like 5 songs from that album.

Mountain Goats is my #11 too.
