Because I couldn't find one for 2012, I started this one. If there is already one that exists, please point me to it.

Anyway, I finally found a reasonably priced copy of this.
Arrived in my mailbox today and I am starting in on it.

Jeff Nuttall's 'Bomb Culture'.

It's cool so far, which is just as well since it's been out of print and I paid more than one would usually for an old worn out paper back. In fact you have to very gently turn the pages least the brittle dried out pages detach from the spine.

Jeff Nuttall for those who don't know was one of the leading intellectuals involved in the British counter culture of the 1950's and 60's.

The premise of the book is that youth culture developed as a direct result of the Hiroshima bomb, and grew in tandem with nuclear proliferation. That the generation gap was basically a divide between those who were adult before the bomb was dropped and who clung on to out dated ideas and the new No Future generation for whom the experience of Now was everything.
