These fat tire bikes are really popular around here lately - I often see groups of 8-10 spinning around town. Of course, we have snow on the ground 5 months of the year.

They look like a lot of fun to ride, but I've heard they're a lot more work.

I just have real fenders on the bikes I ride all the time. That looks quick and easy, but wouldn't fit all seats and might come loose easy. Fenders (real fenders) aren't THAT much money.

A photo I took over the weekend. We have a lake nearby that is perfect in the winter- it's so rocky that water drains right off.
