so every year my school puts on a big concert event at the end of the year. being my fourth and final year, i have not attended one to this point. last year would have featured the ataris, talib kweli, and the starting line, had it not been rained/stormed out. i almost went. under the promise that the student entertainment group will bring more a-list groups to the school on a regular basis, they have announced the lineup for this year's "art attack":

chevelle
guster
winner of local battle of the bands

my brain has yet to register an opinion on this.

i saw george clinton and p-funk one year, and the ramones the following year.

are they still doing it on the mall?

p-funk played up by mckeldin and the mall was packed all the way back to the reflecting pools, almost to the admin building. one of my fondest UMD memories.
