Who cares? It's a fifty-something year old man and his average taste in popular music. Big deal?

I for one hate anarchists, but that "Tubthumping" was a catchy little number.

You're kidding...?

It's not revolutionary, and there's certainly more important stuff going on, but for the president's handlers to have picked one of his songs to mention when it's pretty widely accepted that Fogerty is extremely critical of Bush... makes little or no sense.

Actually Kyle it is genius bordering upon the sublime. See, because Bush is so confident in who he his, and is a uniter and not a divider, he can listen to Fogerty without dint of irony, unlike all those "Angry Liberals" who wouldn't listen to Lee Greenwood or whoever if their lives depend on it.

I have a fundamental inability to credit him personally with anything approaching genius. Except in the sense where like my dog can pick the worst spot possible to take a dump during a walk... maybe right in front of a store or on the only lawn with people looking at it, so I have to clean it up. That's a kind of genius.

There is a reason you do what you do, and I do what I do ;)

I was crediting his HANDLERS with genius. And if you kow the way they spin it, and the way people just eat it up, well you can start to understand why politics can be defined as the art of controlling your environment.

Absolutely, positively. Anyone who doesn't learn that from this David Copperfield-esque administration is blind to the point of handicap. The message is not lost on me. My distinction is with the puppet, not the puppeteers.
