It's a pretty good documentary about the band Pearl Jam.

The band itself got old, and they weren't that young to begin with. What more explanation do you need?

I enjoyed this as well. Not sure where the confusion is here.

They still tour and quietly put out albums and I've actually enjoyed a few songs on both of their last 2 releases.

Maybe the better question is, what happened to bort?

I don't think I've ever seen a documentary about music that I didn't enjoy. It doesn't matter if I like the band or not, in fact I think I might enjoy them more if I don't like the band. Even if I find the band boring I tend to love the doc.

Also, my one of my main takeaways from that doc is that Mike McCready is some sort of idiot savante.

Back when I was a teenager I was sitting on a cliff on the west coast of Scotland with my legs dangling over, looking out over the endless ocean, watching the waves. I had my Aiwa slimline walkman and was listening to 'Black' by Pearl Jam.

I turned it off to fast forward past the next track and suddenly realised that the sound of the wind, Atlantic breakers and screaming seabirds was much preferable to the noise Pearl Jam was providing.

That day a bar was raised.

If an artist can't make something that sounds better than sound of a Greater Black Backed Gull killing puffins on an oceanic zephyr then they mean nothing to me.
