Are you a "morning person"?

Yes. I can't help it. I just wake up early and can't get back to sleep. 26%  26%  [ 12 ]
I wake up early, but I don't want to get up. So I lay in bed, energyless, until I can somehow find the motivation to get moving.Sometimes I fall back asleep. 43%  43%  [ 20 ]
I can't stand to waste a single minute of the day! I jump right out of bed at 7 am and am ever-so-friggin'-chipper! 0%  0%  [ 0 ]

I am soooo a night person.

My schedule recently changed to a primarily 9-5 kind of thing and it's killing me. 8am, for example, is waaaay too early for me to get up.

It's mainly because I am most productive from about 11am-2am, so I stay up late working on stuff and then I'm exhausted the next day. The thing is that there's absolutely no motivation for me to go to bed early because even if I go to bed at 10:30, I'll still be magically too tired to get up at 8am--only difference is I won't have gotten any work done on my personal projects.

Can you tell this is a hot topic for me theses days? (Hence the venting.) It's enough to make me consider changing jobs.

I should be part of the sleeping olympics. 8-10hrs suits me just fine.

Me too, but for different reasons.

If I could, I would lay in bed all day.

I absolutely hate getting up in the morning, but because of my job schedule I can no longer sleep in...even on weekends! No matter how late I stay up I will be up at the crack of dawn and end up watching cartoons.

I am a night owl and a light sleeper. About once a week my body takes over and just falls to the floor, couch, bed. My wife lets me take a nap then. Its better than any sleep all week. I love my wife.

I hate my alarm clock!! I am on a more 'day' schedule now than ever (e.g. having to be at work at 7, 8 or 9 am), and no matter what time I go to bed, I have so much trouble getting up in the morning. I think it's genetic. My whole family has problems with getting up, and we also have the problem that if nothing wakes us up, no matter what time we went to sleep, we will sleep forever. I used to sleep for 12-16 hours at a time because my mom wouldn't get me out of bed, even though I told her to get me up if I wasn't awake by noon. I still sleep until the afternoon (like 11 hours) on my days off, and then I feel like I've wasted a day. I hate it because even with an alarm clock, if I know I don't need to be anywhere important, (work) I will hit the snooze button for 2 hours straight (at 10 minute intervals). I have a sleep problem.
