Some of you people on here must know this. My wife wants a new crock pot. I believe she wants the 6 qt size. What do you recommend?

I have the Crock Pot brand one. Its kind of falling apart after only about 5 years (my last one died but it was a good 30 years old), but it still cooks fine and I'll probably try and squeeze a couple more years out of it; I'd recommend it.

I know two different people with the All Clad and the only complaint (other than the price which is steep) is that they cook just a little on the hot side, but I think this may be true of all "modern" crock pots.

Yeah her old one was a Crock Pot brand, and was done after about 5 years (the handles broke off, the temp knob broke off, etc.) I'm thinking I will stay away from that one and look into All Clad.

You might get 10 opinions here...I prefer going on Amazon and leveraging hundreds of opinions. I would go for the highest rated / lowest price combination. Any of these 4 prob fit the bill

I can vouch for this: Things just randomly fall off. I had to dig through split pea soup to find one of the tiny little screws for the handle once.

Pro tip: pour water and mulling spices in your slow cooker, set on low, and make your home smell like the holidays any time of the year
