I wouldn't call it awful... but it's definitely the most disappointing album, for me, this year.

The video for "Feel Good" is bizarrely captivating. I can't imagine listening to the song without the visuals, though.

I'm not really anticipating this...In fact, I'm fairly against it after they decided not to work with Master Nakemura this time around...

Hope it's a fly-by-night thing and, in order to try and re-establish the "group", they bring back Dan for #3...

I loved both of the songs I heard so far.

Mr. Blur refuses to let me down!

The albums sucks whenever no one is rapping. So it's good for like 4-5 parts. Not even full songs. But yeah it's pretty weak.

i actually don't mind it. I don't think it has the appeal of the first album, but then perhaps if this was released in the late fall it would help things out a lot more.
I more or less look at Gorillaz as a very kiddie-oriented* project that falls is so tied in with the visual aspects of itself that it's oftentimes hard to distinguish the two. The first album was definitely a Summer album, whereas this one is coming off far more as a late Fall/Winter album. In addition to the title reflecting this, the whole thing (thus far, i've given it about 5 solid listens) sounds to me like those cassettes people play in their yards on Halloween to make things a bit "spookier". This is a bit more effective than those, yeah, but the idea is the same, at least in my head.
Yeah, there needs to be more rappers on this, or at least more beaty tracks, but so far i'm in no position to write this off as awful yet. "subpar", maybe, but not awful.

*not really (at least lyrically) but definitely in its sound
