Yeah yeah, we've rapped about them before, but i can't stop listening to this friggin' album!

Fav tunes:
the skin of my yellow country teeth
over and over again
in this home on ice

Currently #4 in my 2005 albums of the year list.

What are your fav tracks on the albums, and do you clap your hands while listening to them?

I hated in this home on ice when i first heard it, but its been growing on me. I havent heard the rest of the album though, but it just seems like nothing new.

I don't quite get all the hype about this band (the Pitchfork review, for example). The CD has some songs I really like (don't know song titles off hand) but some others that don't really do much for me. Don't get me wrong, overall I think they're good and I think they have a ton of potential, but they aren't anything new and I think the CD is inconsistent. For some reason, I feel like this band is this year's Arcade Fire, though probably less deserving of the hype than Arcade Fire was.

I like the new Wolf Parade better.

Some of the music's not bad (although it seems like they're trying too hard to be the next Arcade Fire), but the guy's voice is UNLISTENABLE. I can't say it enough. If they killed that guy and hired someone else I'd probably like them.

I love them, and I stated this many times. I cannot wait to see them live...

Favorite tracks:
The Skin of My Yellow Country Teeth
Lost & Found (Over and over again)
Upon This Tidal Wave of Young Blood
Details of the War

In that order. Will probably be on my Top 20 for the year.

I really like this. And I even like the singer's voice.

I agree that it's nothing new, but the song's are damn good. "Details of the War," "The Skin of My Yellow Country Teeth," "In This Home on Ice," and "Upon This Title Wave of Young Blood" are all great songs. I can see not buying into the hype, but you have to at least admit that these guys are good.

I still haven't listened to the whole album. I try to and then just skip ahead to The Skin Of My Yellow Country Teeth.

You kind of just have to do what I did with sigur ros and the new SFA...put it on while your doing something else and try not to pay attention to it. Then you will like it and listen to it again ;)

They're totally horrid. I can't give the album another chance. It's consistently bored and offended me each time I've tried.

Listen to whatever you'd like.

Had people not compared the singer to David Byrne, I would've gone in expecting less. Unfortunately, I didn't. I would've just listened to a couple of tracks and forgotten about it. I had to listen, though. I wanted to hear what everyone else was hearing.
