I just ate one of my nieces Strawberry Milkshake Pop Tarts, and fuck me, it was GOOD.

It was calling me, like the devil himself.

Am I going to be ok?

Doubtful. When said niece discovers the missing P Tart, she will wait patiently until you fall aslep in a sated torporous mass, and gleefully slit your throat. BUt at least you'll go to hell with the satisfaction that only empty calories can provide.

fuck I'm eating a strawberry milkshake PT as I read your post.

yeah, I'm a connoisseur of this shit, and the strawberry milkshake is def. the best flavor they've ever had. Yes, even better than frosted blueberry.

but not quite as good as the pop tart pastry swirls though. those things are crazy (but the apple cinnamon of those is WAY WAY better than the strawberry variety).

no accounting for taste.

Best to start her on a diet of oreos, pop-tarts, Spaten, Pulp, and early Blur as quickly as possible.

I still like the classic frosted Brown sugar, myself. They're touchy to toast - you have to pop them out before the frosting starts to burn.

I like Raspberry Frosted, though I'm not that big a fan of Pop Tarts.

I got all Consumer Reports on some Tarts back in our last semi-annual Pop T thread:

Pop Tarts' been on a new-flavor binge lately. They've just come out with a Cinnamon Roll Pop Tart, which ain't shabby. The French Toast ones are interesting, Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough less so. Cookies and Cream--meh. The Chocolate Chip and especially the Caramel Chocolate blow.

I have the diet of an average 12-year-old whose parents aren't home.

My son loves em but I never buy them as often as he'd like because he'll try to eat them all in a day.

I on the other hand, due to a RAGING case of PMS ate almost a half bag of chewy chocolate chip cookies in two days. I made Josh take the rest away before I did worse damage.

Now THOSE to me are the devil's food.

They make a Devil's Food flavoured Pop Tart?

My personal favourites -- Chocolate Fudge (w/chocolate frosting no less), Brown Sugar Cinnamon (frosted, yes), and I was really disappointed that they eliminated Dutch Apple frosted, but that may just be my memory playing tricks on me again.

Funny thing, I never see the chocolate in anything less than an 8 pack. I have one in a blue moon. Good those things don't go bad, neh?

I eat Pop Tarts all the time (which is easy to do having a 6-year old around who likes them too), but for a long time I've eaten them untoasted. Then a month ago or so, my gf toasted one for me, and damn that was good. I'm toasting the suckers from now on.
