Does Best Buy include a free CD sampler from Polyvinyl or other indie labels? I doubt it.

And you're welcome Dalen.

Cause they have ugly fat chicks working their registers and frankly, it's starting to tick me off.

I consider them the Wal-Mart of the record industry. Well, the other Wal-Mart of the record industry.

the record industry is dead. if we're supporting the band then why aren't we buying from the band or the label directly?

Dude, the two Best Buys that are in proximity to me employ what has to be the most morbidly obese collection of Gravy Drinkers EVER.

Occasionally you might get a cutie at the check out but the majority of them and especially the management/customer service types are REALLY REALLY FAT!!!!

I still like having the locally owned record store around the corner and Best Buy and Circut City are running them all out of town. I'll buy direct from the artist but when I want to browse a store nothing beats Luna Music or Indy CD and Vinyl.

Boycotting Best Buy is retarded. I almost never set foot inside that store because they RARELY carry anything I want, but to think that you're doing the record industry a big favor by buying from a small online store is stupid.

I'll buy from Best Buy. Cheaper, faster, much, much safer.

But, I'm buying the new Stones album tomorrow..that's the type ofband that deserves my dollars.

I'm doing the small chain store a favor, not the record industry as a whole. Read what I say before you call me stupid.

I wasn't talking about you specifically, just the direction this thread was pointing as a whole.

this isn't about doing big favors for the record industry you idiot, it's about purchasing music from a source that is much more reliable than Best Buy. BB doesn't carry many of the releases i look for.

Yeah, its a lot more reliable to get things in the mail than it is to walk into a store, hand them money, and walk out with your merch

Buy from where you want, but there's not really any true altruism in buying fuckcing records, internet, "local store" or from YO DADDY.

Glady paying $15 to my local record store for the priviledge of buying this sure-to-be-magnificent record this evening instead of tomorrow.

To recap; fighting The Man and getting my fix early. Clearly, I rule.
