Mentioned by Cotton below ( "Favorite Sub/Hoagie/Grinder shop, and why it's the best" ) - I think it deserves its own thread.

Town Topic - Downtown KC. Great burgers, & for breakfast you can get the "Truck Stop" & a side of angioplasty :

Nice. The hag really sells this place. I've heard of the joint, but never been there. As much as I loathe LA, I've got to give In & Out a nod. Also, Ku'aina Burger is the best Hawaiian burger-pusher in Tokyo.

they have the absolute scummiest place in America by my work called the Pitt Stop. It's dirty, smelly, and filled with hookers. Your waitress is guaranteed to weigh half a ton and not wear deodorant, but damn their burgers are tasty.

I've been here. Remember the 'Take a tinkle on Periwinkle' sign near the toilets?

I've never tried the hookers, but judging a book by it's cover I don't want their Big Mac.

Cheeburger Cheeburger in Baton Rouge is okay, but defintely not the best I've ever had.

Stanich's (above)

and Skyline Restaurant - http://portland.citysearch.com/profile/ ... urant.html

are my favorites here in Portland. Both pretty old school - they aren't really huge, but quite tasty.

There's at least one in Overland Park, KS ( KC suburb ) . Never been, but I heard the burgers are good.

As great as the Town Topic is, my actual favorite burgers are made at Max's Autodiner on Wornall in southern KC. Best tater tots on Earth, too.

Had a pretty tasty burger last week at Hamburger Mary's, corner of Paradise and Harmon, across the street from the Hard Rock. BUt the next day, on the same corner, had non-burger fare at Pho Hoa Noodle Soup, a chain, but a goog chain, according to my gut.

How about best Garden burger joints in Los Angeles...

I've been having trouble finding a good one when I eat out recently and, as a semi-practicing pescaterian, I'm running on seafood overload...
