Not that I'm considering this all too seriously, but I have an inkling of getting a skull and crossed tennis racquets tattoo'd on my forearm. (Yes, I am in fact hanging out with the wrong people.) What do you think? And what ink do you have?

I have a friend who got the infinity symbol on her ankle. Dumbest tattoo ever. It looks like a half an inch sideways 8. It costs her 50 dollars, too, I believe.

but if this is no matter to you, you should totally go for the "steal your face" with a tennis racquet in place of the lightning bolt!

Puma, what do you want to get done?

Elephantstone, you are very right. That whole burial thing is party to the fact that I'll be disowned or at least laughed heartily at by my family. Is sleeping with goyim enough to be refused a Jewish burial? If so, I might as well get inked too.

What I always say about tattoos: I don't like tattoos, hell I don't like people WITH TATTOOS.

This seems cute now but in 5-10 years I'm thinking you'll regret it.

Thank god.

I've got 3, will probably get more. I think I'm getting my other arm done next and it's going to look crazy.

I'm not so naive as to think anyone will pay much attention to those words, but remember them.

Yeah, I see elderly men all the time who had tattoos and they look like blobs of ink. I can't even tell what it's supposed to be.

Got my first--and most probably only--tattoo a couple of months ago.

I designed it myself... it's an art nouveau-style lotus flower. It's black only--no colour. On my right shoulder blade.

I spend 2 years thinking about and designing it.... now that I have it it just feels natural to me.

Getting it was more about the symbol and what it meant to me than "getting a tatto", although I do admit to thinking a select few of them are sexy.

Taz tattoos are the best. It lets me know immediately I don't need to talk to you, other than when you ask if I want my air filter replaced.

I dig freaky chicks. Wouldn't get one myself, but on a woman, it tells me, "yeah, I'd do it, even if it hurt a little".

On an unrelated note, epa's is cool. (At least, I think it was epa...)

I like tatoos, got a few myself...nothing too interesting.

One bit of advice though, don't start out on your forearm. I see a lot of people starting out on the forearm these days, I guess because its easier to show off. Thing is, while tattoos are way more acceptable than ever nowadays, its still not totally OK with many people. If its on your forearm, you're gonna half to wear sleeves over it to get many jobs you may someday be interested in. White shirt sleeves will let 'em show through too.

If you end up working in a field where its OK and you figure out that you like having tatoos long term...fine, cover yourself. I've seen a lot of really good sleves and shit that look great. Of course, most of the guys with them are either tatoo artists themselves or they work at a garage, or in a bar or something. Even some blue collar jobs frown when you walk in to apply with tatts all over you.

Just a comment. Feel free to ignore it.

Someday you´ll be 60. This means 1- goodbye hard body and hello sagfest... and 2- you could be a grandparent with tattoos. and nothing screams 'trash' like a grandparent with tattoos.
