Finally picked this up today, even though I'd heard most of it prior to its release. It's not quite "White Ladder" goodness, but better than "A New Day at Midnight." Favorite tracks so far are: The One I Love, Lately, Nos Da Cariad, Hospital Food, and Disappearing World.
PM if you want to hear the album in its entirety.
I unfortunately had to add it to my "do not buy" list due to the copy-protection. I can get around that crap, or have been able to so far, but it's more of an ethical thing to me. I don't like the label telling me, the person who a
ctually paid for the music, that I can't make copies of the disc to listen to as I please - be it a CDR or digital files for my Ipod. I also won't buy the damned DualDiscs because they're more problematic than I care to deal with.
I may fail to stand behind this next week when the 6-disc Miles Davis
Complete Cellar Door Sessions box comes out next week - all Sony titles are being released as copy-protected discs and/or DualDiscs. The MD boxes are on Columbia, who are owned by Sony. Another title coming out soon that will be in the copy-protected/DualDisc release vein is Fiona Apple - buyer beware!
