Just curious as to why OPA? Selection, service?

Due to shipping problems. I've been receiving DVDs over a week later which is unusual considering I've never had a problem before, but it's become a nuisance since it's been happening for at least a couple of months now. Also, 2 DVDs have been lost in the mail

I emailed them and expressed my dissatisfaction but they responded by telling me to change my address because they are "positive" that they ship within a day or two. Something idiotic like that.

The service is just not getting any better so I'm looking for other alternatives.

Better selection? What DOESN'T Netflix have, with the exception of some rare concert DVDs, etc.

The Netflix selection is amazing. I've been very happy with some of the titles I've been able to find.

Blockbuster is a dollar or two cheaper and delivery is fast. The problem I've had is with scratched discs. Nothing like getting halfway through a movie and realizing you can't watch the end.

i've never had a problem with shipping from Netflix.

Intelliflix looks good because they carry porno's and the Annual SuperPass deal is pretty sweet [Unlimited Movies, 3 out at a time, at the deeply discounted rate of only $8.25 a month].

Isn't Netflix ridiculously cheap now, like 8.99 a month? Or is that just some intro package they pitching to get people to sign up?

I think you can only rent one movie at a time though.

Hmm, you're right, Chris. That probably wouldn't be an issue for me.

my quality of service has been degrading for a while now too. my returns they don't get for 3 days but my shipments i get in one.

Been doing Netflix for about a year now. 3 DVD's lost in the mail, next time I'll be under investigation where my membership could be terminated, Problems all the time with movies shipping on time. I can't complain much about that It takes me a while to watch them and return.

The only problem I've had with Netflix is that I shipped 3 movies back the other day, they received them all at the same time and yet I got 2 within a day and the 3rd one took like 4 days.

No issues, almost a year of service. Shipped 3 at once one time, no problem. Normally, we send one back every 3 days or so, so we're not really pushing the performance envelope much I guess. But chalk me up in the Happy column.

Sometimes it depends on where it's shipping out from. I've had that on rare occaisons. And it was usually because a movie had to be shipped from their warehouse in California.


Otherwise, if it's a common film then it should be in all warehouses that are local.

So Intelliflix is $99 a year, while Netflix is >$200 a year...anyone have any insights as to selection or shipping time or other experiences with Intelliflix?

I don't think the selection is as good though from what I gather. I've been browsing the site, and most of the foreign films I rented on Netflix, Intelliflix don't have.
