you know, i am by no means a hard core, left-wing enviromentalist (although i do recycle and only drive when i have to), but i find it hard to believe that we're not fucking this planet up when it is 87 DEGREES on OCTOBER 3RD in WISCONSIN.

i went swimming outside yesterday.

i would if it were actually beautiful, but it's cloudy and humid and sticky and gross. i won't complain if this means it'll be a mild winter, but i wouldn't count on it.

its snowing in the mountains here and in the 50s - been raining for the past 3 or 4 days.

today is beautiful in southern california.

It's 5 degrees C here in sunny Saskatoon. Don't complain if you've got anything resembling warmth.

I'm with fick on this one.

I love fall. I covet fall. I abhor summer by mid august and wish it over.

This is just plain wrong to be high 80's here in Chicago in october. Wrong I tell ya.

And I have to say, I can't ever remember it being this hot in october here as long as I've been alive. Something strange is afoot...

yup. i know what i'm getting into with june, july, august, hell even september. but october is where i draw the line.

i hear ya. summers done. i'm ready for high's in the 50's-60's. ready to bust out the cords and jeans and sweaters.

we had a new record high of 88 degrees here yesterday. warm again today. but relief is on the way. supposed to be in the 50's by wednesday. I'd imagine it'll make it's way to wisconsin and illinois by thursday....

it's pretty much right on schedule here after a freakishly warm weekend that I got to move on. thanks, god.
