Seeing a couple threads around here lately got me to brewin' up this idea. If you guys think it sucks, just say so - & I'll go back to lookin' at pictures of naked chicks.

Do you think it'd be a good idea for each Obnerian to post their list of CD's they want? I think the advantages would be two-fold :

1. It would help those who have trouble organizing their info & thoughts in this area. You think of something, bang - you come to Obner & edit your post to add the CD in question. If you're going to a store, you can just cut & paste your list into an email to yourself & print it out.

2. People can see stuff on your list & hook you up with a burn or YSI if they have it. Then you can just go & edit the title off your list. I think it would help in facilitating trades a lot.

I suppose it would have to be a "Sticky" topic for it to work.

Anyway...yay or nay?

I'd go for it as long as people accepted that in dealing with me it would be about a burn, not YSI.

I'm not sure I'd participate on the listing end, but I'm also not a fan of editing and re-editing. I think things tend get lost or passed over that way.

I already have something like this for myself, for when I get more cash. It also includes a list of DVDs I want to buy.

I really need to get organized in this sort of way, but doubt Obner would be the place it'd happen.

I think we need the trading post back, because I'm about to unload some stuff I ain't likin.

I'm not big on burned copies unless it includes scans of the front and back covers, but a trading post would be cool. I don't know if I'd find anything I want but it would be interesting to look.

I've already got a list like this for cd's, dvd's, books, and comics.

The thing is I don't add a cd to my "to buy" list unless I've heard three or more songs I already like off it. So YSI-ing and all that doesn't serve much of a purpose.

I too like the trading post idea. That would be cool.
