Urban Outfitters?

Alcohol runs hot/cold with you?

You don't smoke the weed?

Strangely enough, the only point I am embarrassed by there is Urban Outfitters. And I can't even afford to shop there. During the same recent shopping excursion as the Urban Outfitters visit, I wound up spending my money on a $5.00 pair of Chuck Taylor's at a pawn shop.

I've never been much of a drinker. What can I say?

Never had much use for weed, either. That's not to say that others in the band don't partake... it's just not my thing.

I was checking out the one on Melrose on Sunday... fuckin RIDICULOUS! $48 for a shirt that I can make myself?! No thanks. They had this pair of HOT Diesels I wanted... but they went for $175, and I like to be fashionable and all but spending almost 2 bills on jeans is simply ridiculous to me.

Do you know how many cd's I can buy with $200?!?!

Explique, s'il vous plait...

And seriously, you people actually GO INTO STORES LIKE THIS?

more to the point, where is this store found? And why are you in a place that has one?

Isn't this like a glorified Hot Topic or some shit?

Melrose= awesome shopping in LA. A bit pricey but you can find good deals.

The Urban Outfitters in Southern Cali are usually in high volume shopping areas like Melrose, 3rd St. Promenade, the Lab (in Costa Mesa)... they used to have good stuff there, but lately it's been shit. And when they have sales, oh my. One time I got 4 pairs of pants for $50. And they were good qual as well.

yeah that's a really good deal. the other day i bought a pair of jeans for 12 and a beatles t-shirt for 6. i was pretty excited. i'm so cheap though, i wanted a sweater but it was 12 dollars so i felt bad buying it... and i didn't.
i never feel bad about spending 8 or 9 dollars on a used cd though.

For clothes, I don't mind spending $ on jeans, shoes, or purses. Those usually last you a long time.... but I refuse to spend more than $10-15 on a shirt (that's why I love vintage tees).

UA was started in Philly in the 70s by a liber-leaning (whatever, just trying to give some scope) couple. The store took off in a pretty large way. At some point the couple divorced. The husband kept the store, became a major republican donor in the area and supporting a whole shitload of ugly folks (see, Mr. Santorum) while the wife started an insanely popular restaurant (which supports liberal causes and candidates) and publicly bickers with him to this day.

this is a really short and probably misinformed version of this story.

I don't really shop there often, though they've got some pretty interesting furnishings and crap. I don't buy the fake thrift store tees or anything, but they've got good kicks and occasionaly great socks. but i dress like a hobo (or in the case of last saturday, a homeless clown) so who the fuck am I to scoff?

The thing I read said he's given $13,000 to Santorum. While it's still Santorum, it seems pretty token.
