Doleful Lions have a few songs that would fit the bill, esp. "The Rats are Coming! The Werewolves are Here!" and "Driller Killer".

You should also put on "Don't Fear the Reaper," because it's AWESOME.

You rang? ;)

And if Cotton is a gay, I'll have to visit PA more often. And feel free to misinterpret 'PA' anyway you want.

you could play anything off fantomas's "the director's cut" and it would be pretty damn creepy. personally i feel that "the godfather" and "spider baby" are the most mix-ready.

Roky Erickson: Burn the Flames
45 Grave: Riboflavin Flavored Noncarbonated Polyunsaturated Blood
Anything by Bauhaus: most go for Bela Lugosi's Dead, but I think something more abrasive from them like Double Dare or something mellow like Hollow Hills or A Spy in the Cab
Chris D & the Divine Horsemen: Sanctuary
I'll agree with the Johnny Dowd and suggest God Created Woman

And, you can always kick things off with Bach's Taccotta and Fugue

Something by Acid Bath would be awesome. Try "Dead Girl", "Graveflower", "Venus Blue" or "Cassie Eats Cockroaches".

Group effort comps tend to make the job a bit easier but the results vary more wildly from song to song. I usually try to make one every year but here are the highlights from 2004:

Enya- Pax Deorum and Tempus Vernum
Rob Zombie - Dragula
Swithcblade Symphony - Night Shift
Siouxsie and the Banshees- Rhapsody
Stan Ridgway - Monsters Of The Id
Marilyn Manson - Rising Evil
Throbbing Girstle - Hamburger Lady
Lou Reed - The Vally Of Unrest, The Raven & The Bed
Mission UK - All I Want Is You
Two Lone Swordsman - Punches And Knives
Hellpop - The Summoning
Autumn Tears - They Watched With Closed Eyes
East Hastings (as heard in 28 Days Later) and my minds going blank on the band here...I know it...oh yeah, GSYBE.

Some years are better than others, last year was avg. Haven't even started this year, mainly because I'm running out of ideas. Maybe a best of?

jc
