today was a day off of work, and I had to stay home to clean my room.

better yet. The reason I had to was because my mom told me to.

I had to clean my room on Friday. Mostly because I couldn't walk anymore because of heaping piles of cds and textbooks.

I can walk around in mine.. but there are paintings, paint, cds, and things I can't even identify strewn around my room. It's better though. I just forgot to do laundry, so thank god for that one pair of clean jeans I have left.

Do the smell test - if there is no discernible foulness, wear a "dirty" pant again.

I'm slowly but surely turning into my mother.

Meaning I can't sit still til our place is sufficiently clean. On my days off first thing I do is clean or else I start to feel really guilty if I sit and read a book for hours with anything untidy.

But with a husband and an 8 yr old, keeping it clean for longer then a day is really, really hard.

(but I hate hate hate cleaning the bathroom so I don't, that's Josh's job)

I would peacefully live in squalor but my 15 year old neighbor thinks I'm a role model and drops by unexpectedly all the time. I feel bad if the place if covered in dirty clothes and liquor bottles under the circumstances.

I have a problem with bathrooms. Not just cleaning them, but being in them. Even though I read an article on how bathrooms are cleaner than kitchens, I still would rather go in a bathroom with shoes on if it doesn't have a rug or towel on the floor, and if there is any dirt on the bottom of the tub I have to run the shower until it's gone (I have two brothers, or one now, the other is at boot camp.. well pubic hair would always be laying around the tub and it grossed me out so that's when that started) and they pee on the toilet seat so everytime I go to the bathroom, nomatter where it is, and ESPECIALLY in public restrooms, I wipe the toilet seat off until I feel it is clean enough.

I'm not obsessive compulsive though.

You're like those folks who attend the cinema at which I work who put a dual-coverage of toilet paper over the seat before sitting down to drop a deuce, huh?

Is this your second poop joke tonight, or was that someone else who made the joke about crab?
Anyways. I wipe off the toilet before peeing in public restrooms. I refused to get near the toilet after the Charlottesville Stones show. That bathroom was fucking sick. I had to pee extremely bad though.

Yeah I hate it when that sort of thing happens. Was at a big paintball event a few years bac, man those porta-johns were horrendous.

They had port-o-potties set up for the people with floor seats at the Charlottesville show, but I am anti-porto-pottie so I chose to go to the real bathrooms. Bad choice.

Here's a question though - how does one clog a urinal?

The cinema GM had to plunge it... While I dry-mopped the overflow.

What the fuck?

The only other option for me was the woods. Tick-laden woods no less. And I'm not about to get shot with a paintball while relieving myself.

I'm like that guy on American Pie that doesn't use public restrooms for #2.... Concerts, movies, bars, clubs... hell no. I'll go home first if it's a necessity.

Was it freud who talked about elimation of waste and depending on how you were raised would impact your "aversion" to taking a dump in a public place? Apparently I'm fucked up because I ain't sitting down.

Atleast you have that option. I can't pee standing up. I tried once in kindergarten, I think, and I peed my pants. Either that or it was a dream. For some reason I really think it's a dream, but my childhood runs together so I can't distinguish what's real and what's not anymore.

I'm like that too. Somedays it seems I can't remember the things that really happened, only the made up things that didn't happen.

Gross! Didn't your mama teach your brothers how to pee properly in a toilet? How about cleaning up afterwards? If they had been my kids, I would've forced their ass back in and cleaned it up! Yeesh!

Are you kidding me? I told my mom I was really grossed out about my brothers pubic hair being all over the bathtub, and she told me to get over it or clean it up myself.
My sister agreed that it was gross. I don't want to stand on someone elses pubes, jesus.

Right now all my days blend together cause of school. I need time to slow down a little bit so that I can comprehend the world around me. As it is now, I feel like I'm in fast forward.

Hopefully things will slow down for you. I sort of feel the same way, but I feel like it's slow and fast at the same time. I also feel like it's not really happening... i'm in class but nothing really applies to me. That's bad. That's why i'm failing art history and math. But CHRIST art history is difficult.

I've always sucked at math, though.

I wish I could take art history, that sounds like it could be fun, but my schedule is too full with engineering classes. What math are you in?

Ha ha ha. High school math. I'm a year behind, too. Art history... I thought it'd be all slides, which I can handle. I'd be glad to memorize all of that. However, I get tested on all of this information on the culture and government and characteristics of the cities and rulers themselves, not just the art. It's difficult. Right now it's really easy because we finished Paleolithic through ancient Egyptian art, and now we're studying Greek art which I can handle. It's interesting, but tough. I'll figure out how to pass sooner or later, though.
