Second that one, along with The Exorcist. Parts of the Ring was pretty damn creepy as well.

Damn I actually have that movie and I've never actually watched it. I tried with the first 20 minutes or so but it was so spooky already I turned it off.

Hmm I may need to yank it out this weekend. I was looking for something scary to watch.

Josh has been renting boatloads of old creepy italian horror and zombie movies lately, those aren't my thing.

i think this is the only movie mentioned that i haven't seen yet.

and for the record...my favorite halloween movie is the original 'halloween'. that's a yearly tradition. and is already on the schedule for sure.

as for blair witch....i agree about those last 10 minutes. frightening!

i saw 'the others' at the theater when it came out....we will likely get that as well.

keep the suggestions coming! and thanks for your help!

Not a horror movie per se, but "Frailty" is pretty scary and quite good, even though it's got Bill Paxton and Matthew McConaughey in it.

Agreed. Excellent flick.

I dunno if it will stand the test of time, but I used to find "The Hitcher" quite scary.

and let's not forget The Seven Faces of Dr. Lau! ha ha ha ha

Why don't you rent the 2 seasons of Carnivale and have a marathon?
Make your guests dress up as freaks.

Oh, just kill all the birds with one stone by watching THE GREATEST MOVIE OF ALL TIME:

oh shit I am getting psyched just thinking about this movie, which invariably means:

I will be drinking a beer on the couch at 4AM, watching this excitedly and muttering to myself how awesome Donald Pleasance was.

Holy crap! I saw that in the theatre with Ampersand. Scared me so bad that when he drove me home I made him come in and check all my rooms and closets for any scary people.

I don't think I can ever see that again. :(
