Dumpjack, you need to hear some Boyds...Combine with Big Star to produce Tom Petty (dunno if you like him, but he's a fave of mine)

Agreed.
I just assumed that The Byrds and Kinks were essential rock n' roll, which is why I included them on the list.

I should be able to dig out some of mine. I have Untitled/Unissued (Double Disc) Ballad of Easy Rider, and maybe Mr. Tambourine, this weekend. If so, I'll zip em up and send em to you, if no one else beats me to it.
