Blue Milk and I have talked about this before, I don't know if he remembers.. but believe me we have. I think he was talking about albums, though.

Anyways I was just thinking about this, because Let Me Lick Your Pussy by Ween makes me think of the color purple.

Anyways. I was wondering if anyone else ever thought of or saw colors in the back of their mind when listening to certain songs or albums.

You kids are on acid.
It's cool, buit when you start hearing "purple" its lysergically related.

I just meant colors you think about. I think about color all the time, and line, and form. I analyze everything. Everything is something. I see something in everything is what I mean I guess.

I'm sure there is some scientific reasoning that suggests that some music can make people "see" colors when listening to it but I've never experienced.

The closest thing that I can think of is that when I listen to Americana/alt-country type stuff it makes me think of fall which is browns/oranges/yellows, etc.

i feel like i sort of have this, but not very strong case.
when i play chords, sometimes i think of specific colors, but it's not consitant enough for me to have perfect pitch.

R.E.M.'s 'Orange Crush' from the album Green makes me think of the color blue.

She didn't say "squeeze it 'til it turns" purple. Sicko.

Not joking, Stones "Paint It Black" makes me think red.

I was thinking of purple as the colour associated with royalty, i.e. princes and princesses.

Likewise, when I think of Borg or ScottyCash I 'see' red (socialism). For Bloor, it's blue (capitalism). For LooGAR, black (Afrocentrism).

Synaesthesia -- can be helped along by LSD/acid, but some people (cf. cemetarypolka, my sister, et al) are just very visual people.

I am not a visual person, and there's very few songs, short of the simply cinematic, that even evoke images of any sort.
