Went to a free screening tonight and it was pretty brutal. If you've seen Audition by Takashi Miike, it ranks up there with it for grossouts. He had a Q&A afterwards and brought one of the Czech girls who was in the movie with him. I'd recommend it if you're into horror movies.

you suck ass. I envy you, but then again I get to go to a press screening for King Kong at the Senator in Balto so yay. In any event, this is definitely on my list of high hopefuls for next year. Is the release date still the same, it seems like its been all over the place.

Yeah he said it's supposed to be out in January and internationally in March. I guess it was supposed to be released before Xmas but the studio didn't want it competing with that new Jim Carrey movie.

I thought the movie was going to wuss out on the gore because it seemed to be doing a lot of cutaways in the first half but it came through in the end, though I wished they would've shown the aftermath of one of the deaths near the end.

I heard its pretty hard. Eli Roth is someone I respect. He seems to genuinely have an interest in making horror films that challenge and move the genre forward, unlike a lot of the Freddy v. Jason crap out there.
