As you can see, I had a lot of time of my hands. :-)

I think Obner needs a thread like this. Perhaps of the sticky kind. I always
wonder what's coming out down the line and it's a pain sometimes to find
those upcoming releases pages so me thinks it should be all in one place.
We could edit the first post as we go along when we find out what's coming
out.

Sounds good?

Now, is there a good U.K site with upcoming release dates?

How is that 1/10 Bjork disc different than the one I already have, which I don't think was an import (I paid ~$12)?

I'm gonna use this thread to explore this question: What's the story on the Arctic Monkeys? I keep hearing them being favorably compared to some other bands that I like, but I havent heard a note. Good?

Also, I give that new B&S three thumbs up. Good stuff.]

Haven't gotten the "Backyard Betty" EP yet, but it's just due to lack of funds/turntable right now (mostly the latter)...

all those BBC boys are holdin' it down right now...

I'm gonna use this thread to explore this question: What's the story on the Arctic Monkeys? I keep hearing them being favorably compared to some other bands that I like, but I havent heard a note. Good?

My fav song of this year was from The Elected. But I didn't really get into the entire "Me First" album as a whole. Hopefully, the new one will be better (or at least have one kick ass track like the last album).

That Cat Power album is real good, there are some great rockers on it.

The B&S record is surprisingly upbeat, I like it so far.

I'm real excited about both the Jenny Lewis solo album and The Elected album. I've already heard a bit of the Jenny Lewis album, and it sounded great. I'm curious to see how different The Elected album is with Mike Bloom, Jenny Lewis and one of the girls from Eisley backing him up. Mike Mogis and Jimmy Tamborello helped produced the last one, and Jason Boesel of Rilo Kiley and Bright Eyes played on it, so I am guessing this one will be alot different, especially after Sennett said he had been listening to alot of the Eagles.
The Two Gallants album will be their first on Saddle Creek, I wonder if it will be any different from The Throes.

The EP's not even in yet. Hopefully by Wednesday.

Anyway, this thread should be made sticky and updated!
