Welcome to Iraqi Update 002,

Hello all, this SFC Auger with your Obner Iraqi Update. Today Tuesday, December 13, 2005, two days before the election of the Iraqi parliment. The base has gone to a code U3, which means with have to wear our IBA (Interceptor Body Armor) and Kevlar (helmet) when ever we leave a hardened facility (hardened refers to a structure fortified to withstand a mortat blast either with a concreate or sandbag barrier surrounding the building). I spoke with my company commander today. I am going to be working in the Tactical Operations Center.
I could have been stationed in much worse places. I plan on just bidding my time and spending my money when I get back stateside. I post more if a few days.

obnerly yours,
Mike

yeah I don't know why everyone thinks the Iraqis need democracy when it's pretty obvious they just need the latest Decemberists record.

Good to hear from you, Mike.
Hmmm... maybe the Iraqis will like Hop On Pop?
;)

Stay safe.

the iraqi love th but decemberist but have mixed feelings about them switching to a 'major label'. they are threatening to revolt. As for Hop on Pop, Jhadig asked me if they you are planning a Iraq tour soon. There is a huge follow among the Shitte, and even some of the Sunni & Kurds have been asking.
